This elegant little vanity table boasts fine lines and delicate proportions. While it looks like an antique, perhaps mid-19th century, it was in fact custom built for its owner in France about 40 years ago. A careful craftsman fitted it with a white marble top, a felt-lined drawer and tilting oval mirror. He even chose an electric sconce to complement it. One antique dealer told us that this piece would quickly sell in her shop at $350, but we'll take the best offer over $200 that we get between now and April 15. And every cent you spend will turn, like magic, into space heaters, groceries and taxi rides, walkers, canes and electric blankets.

AssistHers is a nonprofit volunteer organization in Houston,Texas and our mission is to provide care teams for lesbians living with serious illness or disability. We clean house, we walk the dogs, we take care of little things so women can focus on getting well. And where need is truly great we try to provide a little extra money, in the form of gift cards, for groceries, and for transportation to medical appointments.
